Mission Statement

It is the mission of First Fridays to enrich the lives of individuals through exposure to arts and culture. We aim to educate, stimulate and inspire people to actively invest in the Tucson community, especially downtown, in keeping with the mission of TYP to “promote, attract, and retain” young professionals in Tucson.

Tucson Young Professionals, TYP, is an organization passionate about promoting and retaining young professionals in Tucson. A vibrant downtown community is an essential part of making our city more attractive to younger professionals. First Fridays is an event that will provide an upscale environment for Tucson locals of all ages to socialize and promote local artists and businesses in the heart of our city. We hope this event will spark interest in our community while offering a creative social outlet. All of the proceeds from this event will be used to continue the First Fridays monthly event or contribute to other community development projects.

First Fridays are being held across the country on the first Friday of each month, offering networking opportunities to young professionals. A number of these events are held in art museums, bringing the community together to enjoy “art after dark”. The TYP First Fridays event welcomes everyone over the age of 21 for a unique Tucson social experience while supporting our community. We hope to see you there!
